What we do

With trading hubs in Amsterdam, Chicago and Sydney, IMC is among the world’s leading market makers. As a technology-driven trading firm we provide liquidity on more than 100 trading venues across the globe, combining market knowledge with innovative advanced technology, to provide competitive pricing for all market participants across a variety of asset classes.  Our European ETF desk leverages this advanced knowledge and deep liquidity to offer competitive pricing to qualified counterparties and lead market making services for ETF issuers.

Why trade with us

Cutting edge technology is at the heart of everything we do. We utilise this to make our operation more efficient, leading to tighter bid-offer spreads in all market conditions, and allowing for a scalable set up.

  • As a global market maker we have long-standing relationships with the best-regulated trading venues, trading a variety of asset classes, including Options, Equities, ETFs and Futures. Making markets is in our DNA.
  • As a reliable partner we manage risk at every level of the business. We dedicate significant resources to maintaining and enhancing our proprietary trading software and systems. We work closely with regulators and clearing houses to support fair and transparent markets, and reliable settlement. Our risk management allows us to facilitate larger trade sizes.
  • We offer competitive bid-offer spreads, achieving a high win-rate on RFQ trades.
  • With our automated systems we are able to respond immediately to all requests.
  • We trade on a principal to principal basis and do not charge commissions.
  • We are an experienced seed and listing partner.

Frequently asked questions

IMC trades multiple asset classes on multiple trading venues. Combining our technology with a centralised risk book makes the most of the synergies in our futures and options trading, and therefore allows us to quote tight bid and ask spreads. With a 29% on-exchange market share and high RFQ win-rate we believe we can add value to your business.

Our focus has previously been on-screen trading. With ETF institutional trading moving more to bilateral trading venues such as Bloomberg, Tradweb and RFQHub, we saw an opportunity to use our significant technological and market expertise to offer competitive pricing direct to counterparties.

As we are able to combine our European futures, equities, options and ETF trading into a centralised risk book we can offer competitive quotes in European equity ETFs, and this is where our initial focus has been. We have now expanded into the main US and Japan indicies and commodities, and we are looking at expanding in more products.

We focus on markets where we have the most expertise and will expand into other markets when we can offer significant value in these markets.

All professional market participants can trade directly with us using Bloomberg chat, and multiple MTFs including Tradeweb, Bloomberg and RFQ Hub. Alternatively check if your executing bank or broker dealer is connected to us. We are also an ELP Systematic Internaliser.

We have over 30 years of market making experience and significant expertise providing lead market making services to ETF issuers. Our best-in-class technology allows us to provide consistent and reliable pricing in all market conditions. We work with ETF issuers to provide the solution that fits them.
