At the beginning of every year, we take our new hires on a whirlwind trip around the world to visit our global offices, get to know each other, and learn the IMC ropes before they begin their careers with us. We caught up with some of this year’s new starters to find out what they’ve loved about their international traineeship. This week, we’re exploring the travel and exposure opportunities, and what a career with IMC can bring.

Seeing the world

For all our new hires, the traineeship is just a taste of the global opportunities all our people encounter throughout their time at IMC. Luke, a technologist from Chicago, said that living in Sydney and Amsterdam for two months had been “an incredible cultural experience that never would have been possible otherwise.”

In fact, everyone we spoke to said something similar. Mindaugas, a trader from Chicago, loved swimming at Sydney’s beaches. Tim, a Sydney-based technologist, had never left Australia before arriving in Amsterdam, and he soaked up every minute of the new experience.

At IMC, the extent of our global experiences isn’t limited to the locations of our international offices. We work amongst a diverse community of people from all around the world. Next week, read about what our new hires love about meeting their colleagues for the first time.
