An entire day’s trading revenue is donated to support Room to Read

Since 2016 we have been supporting Room to Read, a 19-year-old international literacy organization whose bold vision of a world transformed by educated children inspired us to invest in their work.

IMC is funding Room to Read’s expansion into additional communities in the eastern African country of Tanzania.Tanzania has a population of more than 53 million people, almost 90 percent of whom live on less than two dollars a day. Because a large portion of the population is under the age of 14, improving the education system is a challenge and a major opportunity to alleviate poverty.

The impact in Tanzania

We support Room to Read’s work to train teachers, publish books in local languages, and build libraries that offer more children the life-changing effects of a strong education. The following table depicts the specific impact that our funding achieved so far:
