IMC proudly supports Room to Read's mission to end illiteracy across the globe.
About the event
Trading for Charity Day is our annual event held in support of Room to Read's literacy work in Africa and India. On June 17 2025, beginning in the Sydney office and ending in Chicago, we harnessed our advanced trading skills over an epic 24 hours – with all revenue donated to charity.
Our support has helped Room to Read train educators, build libraries, create classroom materials, and publish high-quality children's books in local languages. IMC's partnership with Room to Read began almost a decade ago, and in the 2024-2028 period we've committed to donating an additional $30 million. With this next phase, we aim to provide books and other resources for nearly 5.7 million more children in Africa and India and support lasting improvements in education systems in the developing regions where Room to Read works.

The impact in Africa and India
IMC has proudly supported Room to Read’s mission to end illiteracy across the globe for the past 9 years, donating more than $33 million so far to the charity’s literacy work in Africa and India.
SEEING THE IMPACT
A select group of IMC traders, developers, and business operations staff have had the opportunity to visit schools in India, South Africa, and Tanzania supported by Room to Read.
These trips allowed IMCers to meet with children, parents, teachers, and government representatives to learn first-hand how our commitments are helping shape the educational experiences of children living in high-need areas.
