Compliance Analyst Astha and her partner made the move from India to Sydney. Settling into life ‘Down Under’ has been easier than she imagined, with the IMC team helping to make Australia feel more like home.
Finding a role that marries ambition with teamwork
Astha joined IMC’s Compliance team in October 2022. The team manages the regulatory risks of our trading activities across multiple Asia-Pacific jurisdictions and globally. She monitors and reviews legislation, communicates with brokers, and develops IMC’s written policies and procedures.
Astha was drawn to the role because of the dynamic and challenging nature of the work.

Feeling comfortable from day one

Finding time for the most important things
Having previously worked incredibly long hours in India, she appreciates the balance she has at IMC. Throughout the day, she works on dynamic and challenging projects, while evenings give her time for activities like cooking and reading.
Just over a year into her new life in Australia, Astha is happy with the journey so far. “It’s been a dream for me and my partner. We couldn’t believe how fast we settled in,” she says.
