Our new Sydney office

1. In-house chef and barista

At IMC, we know that we produce the best work when we’re fuelled. That’s why we have our in-house chef who cooks us breakfast, lunch and even dinner for those who prefer to work later in the day. We have a different menu every day, with my personal favourites so far being the tacos and homemade meat pies. But don’t worry, we have vegetarian options too! On top of this, the kitchen is always fully stocked with snacks and drinks – think fresh fruit, popcorn, Tim-Tams and kombucha.

Having our meals provided means everyone eats together in the social hub, creating a lively environment where we can socialise with our team and get to know people from other departments.

IMC didn’t just stop at the food though; we also have an in-house barista to ensure you’re able to get your caffeine fix whenever you need it. Whether you prefer a long black, iced latte or hot chocolate, our barista does it all.

To top it all off, at the end of the week we gather to relax in our open bar, which has beer and rosé on tap, as well as bottled beers and spirits.

2. Social spaces

The new office has been designed with collaboration in mind, and while there is a plethora of social spaces in the office, our social hub takes the cake. You’ll find it sprawling across half a floor of our office. It’s home to our main kitchen (yes, we have two), the dining space, as well as our pool table, foosball table, and games room –complete with a PlayStation.

This amazing space means we're able to host social activities in the office. Since moving in a month ago, we’ve already had a poker night, drag queen bingo and, of course, weekly Friday night drinks. We’re also able to invite our friends and family here on Friday evenings so we can share our amazing office and open bar with them, too.

3. Work spaces

Not only does the office have a vibrant social hub, it has equally impressive working spaces to match. IMC knows the importance of having spaces conducive to producing the challenging and high-performance work we do and our work environment supports this.

The office is fully open plan, with 360-degree views of Sydney Harbour and the city, so everyone can enjoy the view while they work. IMC has fitted out the desks with inbuilt phone chargers and everyone has a sit/stand desk, so when you need to stretch your legs, you can simply raise the desk to standing. If stretching your legs isn’t quite enough and you really need some activity to break up the day, we’ve got monkey bars and stretch stations!

4. Amenities

Last-minute event? IMC has you covered – our office bathrooms are fully stocked with hygiene, styling and everyday products, not to mention the Dyson Airwrap!

QQT also has great end-of-trip facilities in the building, including onsite showers with towels, GHD hair tools and changing rooms, so if you like to go to the gym before work or running is your travel method of choice, it’s super easy to get ready in the office.

5. The building

Not only has IMC created a state-of-the-art office, they’ve done it in the World’s Best Building 2022.

QQT won this title by creating a world-first innovation where 95% of the building’s original internal walls and 60% of its original core structure have been upcycled. Completing the building this way is much smarter for our planet and has saved 7.3 million kilograms of carbon in the process! Additionally, QQT has an impressive 6-star Greenstar Office Design and achieved 5.5 stars in the NABERS energy rating.

QQT also runs internal activations for occupants, including a wellness programme with weekly pilates classes and run club, presentations from guest speakers and monthly markets. For added convenience, there are restaurants, shops and a pharmacy in the lobby.

All this and the building is located in Circular Quay, so whether you get the bus, train or ferry to work, they are all within 5 minutes walking distance. Another great perk of this location is that we’re surrounded by some of Sydney’s best bars and restaurants, perfect for getting dinner or drinks after work.
