INVESTMENT MANAGER – IMC INVESTMENTS

About the role

We’re looking for a commercially minded and analytical Investment Manager to join our Strategic Investments team. In this role, you’ll manage and grow a portfolio of minority equity investments in companies shaping the global trading industry; from fintech and market infrastructure to data, software, and analytics providers. You’ll take ownership across the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing and evaluating opportunities to active portfolio management and stakeholder engagement.

Your core responsibilities

• Source and evaluate strategic minority equity investment opportunities aligned with IMC’s long-term and short-term goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with founders, investors, competitors and intermediaries to identify high-quality deal flow.
• Preside the Investment Committee which consists of one representative from each region plus the Global head of Strategy.

• Lead commercial and financial due diligence, including valuation analysis and scenario modeling.
• Coordinate the Legal due diligence together with our dedicated lawyers team.

• Prepare investment materials (proposals) and support the internal approval processes to the Management Board.
• Oversee portfolio performance and governance, including participation in board meetings and reviews.
• Collaborate with IMC teams across trading, technology, risk, and leadership to align investments with business strategy.
• Identify follow-on opportunities or exits in line with portfolio objectives.

Your skills and experience

• 5–8 years’ experience in venture capital, growth equity, corporate development, investment banking, or a similar field.
• Proven track record in equity investing, ideally within fintech, trading infrastructure, or software.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, valuation, and commercial analysis.
• Deep understanding of technology, capital markets, and trading ecosystems.
• Confident communicator able to engage effectively with C-level stakeholders and investors.
• Entrepreneurial approach and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
