Giving back

IMC India philanthropy

Our focus is on fostering an inclusive environment that empowers local communities to help every member reach their fullest potential, regardless of gender, caste, or religion. We aim to reach India's most vulnerable and marginalized communities in both urban and rural areas, supporting projects across 15 Indian states.

Who we are

IMC India drives integrated initiatives that enhance the well-being of women and children. Through partnerships with local and international organizations, we work to ensure every woman and child can realize their rights to life, health, and education.

We collaborate with organizations including Mobile Creches, which focuses on early childhood care and education; Cuddles Foundation, providing nutrition for paediatric cancer patients; Educate Girls, empowering women and girls through access to education; Prajwala, supporting victims of sex trafficking; Water Aid India, enabling access to clean and sustainable water sources in rural geographies, and many more.

Our giving strategy

IMC India's strategy towards philanthropy is based on five core principles:

1. Relevant to the national and local context

All giving initiatives must be closely aligned with, and relevant to, the local and national contexts in which the company is located.

2. Strategic and built to last

The focus of strategic giving is to create long-term value for both IMC and society. All giving initiatives shall ensure that communities and individuals can sustain themselves on their own beyond IMC involvement.

3. Based on trust and partnership

All giving initiatives will be implemented in partnership with trusted, renowned institutions that are close to the local communities.

4. Grass-rooted

To create a long-lasting social change, all initiatives must become embedded in the local communities. Strategies are developed as a reflection of needs, values, and shared experience of community members.

5. Engaging

Giving initiatives are designed to provide a range of volunteering opportunities for IMC colleagues to uphold a longstanding, company-wide commitment to social causes.
